On Thursday, November 23, 2023, middle-school students from the Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat and its partners’ ¨I Discover My Heritage¨ program kicked off the national “Solid’Art Jeunes: Resilience and Eco-Creative¨” project launch workshop, hosted by the Mohmmed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection. The students contributed to the opening of the workshop with a poem entitled “بلسم تراثي” in solidarity with the youth of the area hit by the Al Haouz earthquake. The workshop seeks to bring to life a solidarity project in support of eco-creative art projects in schools impacted by the earthquake, throughout the national education for sustainable development community.
In addition to the poem, ¨I Discover My Heritage¨ program recipients took part in the day’s activities, designed to raise awareness of natural disaster prevention, post-disaster waste management, and collaborative artistic creativity.
