Aiming to federate the actors of cultural heritage and aware of the importance to disseminate and facilitate access to culture to the widest public, especially to the younger generations, the Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat has initiated, in partnership with the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of the Region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and ICOMOS Morocco, a combination of recreational activities for students of the capital, from April 19 to May 19, on the occasion of the International Day for Monuments and Sites, whose theme this year was “Complex pasts, diverse futures”. 400 children from 6 to 12 years old participated in an artistic workshop on the theme “I draw my heritage”. The main objective of this action was to make these children aware of the richness and diversity of their city’s heritage.
